The first round of the Swiss Championship has been organised by the BCGV at Morges (near Lausanne), and many drivers and spectators attended.
The two firsts rounds of qualifications were won by Jean Marc Betticher and Didier Perrin, each with a pole position.

After these two rounds, Christophe Plancherel (actually 5th) and mechanic Xavier Delay (ex BMT Active Co-designer) refined the set-ups of his XB8.
The 3rd and 4th rounds of qualifications were dominated by the XRAY XB8 (TopLine motor) of Christophe Plancherel, who took 2 pole position and is the only driver with 12 laps in round 4.

In semi-final, Christophe Plancherel was a victim of a defective plug and was forced to abandon; this is unfortunately since his XRAY dominated the race weekend. Many regrets for the young pilot.
The 30-minute final was initially dominated by JMB followed by Swiss Champion Didier Perrin.

Patrick Hess (XRAY XB8) started 3rd and was involved in some accidents and dropped to 10th after ten laps. He began a fantastic comeback by exceeding all other drivers one by one, and with 5 minutes to go he was 2nd behind Didier Perrin.

He gained 1-2 seconds per lap on Didier Perrin, and did better in the final laps. He won this race with his XB8, confirming the potential of the car.
